When you subscribe to a premium plan on Bumpa, you have the option to connect your existing domain name to the platform. This means that you can use your own preferred "custom" domain name (i.e. example.yourbusinessname.ng) to access your store.
To make this integration possible, you will need to create new records on your domain registrar. The domain registrar is the company where you purchased your domain name (e.g. GoDaddy, Namecheap, etc..).
To point your domain to Bumpa, follow these steps:
- Launch the app
- Click on more
- Click on Domains
- Click on the Add Domains or the Plus button
- Click on Connect to a domain
- Enter your domain name and click on continue
- Copy the IP address and paste it on your domain registrar
- Click on continue
- Fill in your CNAME details on your domain registrar and click on continue
- Click on Connect domain
Once you have completed the above steps, email your custom domain name and Bumpa store URL (e.g. yourbusinessname.bumpa.shop) to [email protected]. or the in-app live chat feature. This will notify the Bumpa team to verify that your domain is correctly pointed to Bumpa and it will be activated.
It may take up to 72 hours for the changes to take effect and for your custom domain to start redirecting to your Bumpa store. Once the domain name change is complete, you will be notifed by the Bumpa support team
