The Time to Cancel feature allows you to control how long a shopper can keep an item in their cart before it is automatically removed. This is important during sales or high-demand periods, helping you manage stock levels and prevent overselling.
Key Benefits:
Prevent Overselling: By setting a time limit for items in carts, you can avoid situations where shoppers hold products for too long, leading to sales beyond your available inventory.
Better Inventory Control: The feature ensures that items are not reserved indefinitely, allowing other shoppers the chance to purchase in-stock items.
Encourage Faster Purchases: Shoppers are motivated to complete their purchase within the set time, reducing the likelihood of cart abandonment.
How It Works:
Log on to the Bumpa Web App: app.getbumpa.com.
Access Inventory Settings: On your dashboard, scroll to the Inventory Settings section.
Toggle the Reduce Inventory Button: Turn on the feature to start managing your inventory more effectively.
Set the Time Limit: Set how long an item can stay in a cart. The default setting on Bumpa is 30 minutes, but you can adjust it by choosing any of the options to suit your sales and inventory needs.
Days: Enter the number of days (e.g., 1 for 1 day).
For hours: Enter the number of hours (e.g., 1 for 1 hour).
For minutes: Enter the number of minutes (e.g., 15 for 15 minutes).

Note:
When the time expires, the order will be automatically cancelled if payment is not made and the item is automatically removed from the cart and becomes available for other shoppers.
Shoppers can re-add the item to their cart if it's still available.
This feature helps you maintain better inventory control and avoid overselling during busy sales periods.
