Managing Staff Account

As a store owner, you can now add a staff (i.e. Store Manager, Rep, Storekeeper, Sales Rep, etc.) working for you or your partner with their personal login account to access your Bumpa admin panel and make running the business easier.

With the Staff Account feature, you can assign roles and privileges to help manage your inventory, transactions etc. Each staff you invite will have permission to manage your store, but will not be able to view or manage analytics or invite additional staff members. 

Note: This feature is available only on the Bumpa Pro and Growth plans.


How to Add Staff 

Only you (the store owner) can create staff accounts by sending an invitation to a staff member:

  • Log in to the app
  • Tap the “More” icon at the bottom right corner of your screen.Tap the “More” icon at the bottom right corner of your screen.
    • Scroll down and tap “Staff Accounts.”Scroll down and tap “Staff Accounts.”



    • Tap the “+” icon to add a new staff member.Tap the “+” icon to add a new staff member.



    • Enter the staff details, especially the email address (ensure it's correct to receive the invite).Enter the staff details, especially the email address (ensure it's correct to receive the invite).



    • Assign a location (for Growth plan subscribers only).Assign a location (for Growth plan subscribers only).
    • Toggle the permissions to grant access to the features you want to give the staff.
On the Pro plan, you can assign only basic permissions like Products, Orders, Messaging, and Analytics (expect the Delete option)
On the Growth plan, you can assign all available permissions.

  • To add another staff member with the same permissions, tap “Add Another Staff”.To add another staff member with the same permissions, tap “Add Another Staff”.



    • Enter the staff details, especially the email address (ensure it's correct to receive the invite).Enter the staff details, especially the email address (ensure it's correct to receive the invite).
    • Assign a location to the second staff (for Growth plan subscribers only).Assign a location to the second staff (for Growth plan subscribers only).

    • After setting up, tap Continue.After setting up, tap Continue.

    • Tap View Permissions to review what you’ve granted.Tap View Permissions to review what you’ve granted.

    • Tap Invite Staff.Tap Invite Staff.

An email invitation to create an account and join your team will be sent to the new staff member. The invitation email has the subject “Staff Invitation.
An invitation email will be sent to the new staff member(s) with the subject line “Staff Invitation.” 

Note: You can only add up to 3 staff accounts on the Pro plan and 5 staff accounts on the Growth Plan.

How to Edit Staff 

  • Log in to the app
  • Click the More
  • Click Staff Account

 

  • Click the staff you would like to edit

  • Click edit profile

  • Edit the role, name or phone number

  • Toggle the permissions to edit them

  • Click save

Staff email cannot be edited



How to Remove Staff 

As a precautionary measure, you should periodically revise the list of your store’s staff accounts and remove the staff members you do not work with anymore.

To remove a staff account:

  • Log in to the app

  • Click the More page 

  • Click Staff Account

  • Select the staff you would like to remove 

  • Click remove

  • Click remove staff



The staff member will no longer have access to your store.


How to view a Staff's activity

  • Login to the app
  • Click the More
  • Click Staff Account
  • Select the staff you would like to view
  • Click View all

  • Log in to the app
  • Click the More
  • Click Staff Account
  • Select the staff you would like to view
  • Click View Login Activity



How to purchase more Staff  Slots

Managing your business effectively often requires teamwork, and having enough staff slots is crucial for delegating tasks and responsibilities. If you’ve exhausted your available staff slots and need to add more staff to your team, here’s how you can get extra staff slots: 

  • Login to the app
  • Click the More
  • Click Staff Account
  • Click Get more slots
  • Input the number of slots
  • Click Continue
  • Click Pay
  • Select a Payment method and make payment
A staff slot costs 20,000 naira but the slot cost and expiration are calculated based on your current billing cycle



How to Accept a Staff Invitation

An email will be sent to the staff email address provided to accept the invitation. The staff member will need to: 

  • Download the Bumpa app on Playstore or Appstore

  • Accept the invitation by clicking on the Join (store name) green button 

  • The staff will be redirected to the Bumpa app to create a password 

  • Log in to the Bumpa app with the registered email and password



Note: A Staff invitation lasts for only 7 days from the time of the invitation
